Who Underwrites The DJ Liability Policy?

The broker is Hencilla Canworth who are the agent that brokers all the major PLI Entertainer Policies. The Underwriter is the International Insurance Company of Hanover Ltd, one of the two insurance companies offering this kind of policy for DJs PLI Insurance.

Can We Contact You?

In order to offer our DJ Membership best value our overheads are kept to a minimum wherever possible. There is a contact form on the website and our offices are manned during normal weekday office hours so the response time is generally very good.

Are There Exclusions In The Policy Document?

Yes, just as you would expect with any type of insurance (Car, House, Pet etc.), ours is the same as other DJ PLI policies, and these exclsuions are clearly explained within the policy document.

Is There Any Excess With The DJ PLI Policy?

 Yes, it's £500, the same as all other DJ PLI Policies.

If Another Member Makes A Claim Am I Affected?

No, each member is covered independently for £10m DJ PLI for any claim whilst they are a member. This is a block policy covering any paid up member of www.djpli.com and the policy only covers the named individual and NOT a company.

When Does The Policy End?

 We purchase an annual block policy, as do other DJ Associations and organisations, as that is the manner in which we are allowed to offer the benefit to our members as we are not registered brokers with the FSA. Funds are ring fenced to cover the ongoing year’s payment therefore it never runs out.

The only thing that can expire is your membership of www.djpli.com if you fail to renew your membership the following year, so as long as you are a Paid Up PLI Member you are covered.

When Do I Get My Policy Documentaton?

Once you have applied and paid, we will match your payment to your application and approve your membership. This is normally within a couple of hours during the week, however as working DJs ourselves you willl understand there could be issues at weekends, so please don't leave it until the last minute if you Urgently Require PLI.
